All about Ellie

New blogger EllieLet me tell you a little bit about me and my guiding background. I have been in guiding ever since I was a Rainbow at six years old.

Guiding has given me so many fantastic opportunities - particularly in terms of travelling - I have been to three UK international camps as well as one in Denmark and have also travelled to Mongolia, Mexico, Chile - as part of a Guiding Overseas Linked with Development (GOLD) project - and Jordan under the umbrella of guiding and I now have guiding friends all over the world. I am particularly excited to be one of the Leaders taking a County group to Mexico in 2013!

December: Changes ahoy!

I've finally found a teaching job… in Qatar! I move in January, it's quite scary but I'm mostly excited.

October: Innovate

This month I've participated in a workshop at Innovate Heslington, got going with my units' new terms and attended North East England's International Community Experience.

September: Combining guiding with music

As well as running a Senior Section unit and being an In4mer, I'm also in the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra (NSGSO). Find out more about it!

August: Get to know me

I've done so many things through guiding, from surfing in Cornwall to visiting Mongolia...
